Embroidered Patches
Embroidered patches are thread-stitched emblems applied to apparel, caps, bags and uniforms. Coverage percentage, stitch type and border style define both look and cost. Backings (iron-on, sew-on, velcro, adhesive) determine how the patch attaches — all confirmed in the specification before production.
Applications & Use Cases
Club and team apparel, workwear branding, outdoor and military-style merch, caps and beanies, denim and bags.
Materials & Finishes
Stitched with polyester thread on twill or felt backing. Coverage ranges from partial (embroidery on printed background) to full coverage. Borders are merrowed (overlocked edge) or laser-cut for irregular shapes. Backings include heat-seal (iron-on), sew-on, self-adhesive and velcro. Fine details beyond thread capability are reproduced with printed overlays.
Customization Options
- Sizes from 50 mm to 300 mm+
- 50% to 100% thread coverage
- Up to 12 thread colors per patch
- Merrowed or laser-cut borders
- Iron-on, sew-on, velcro or adhesive backing
- Individually bagged or bulk packed
Artwork Requirements
Vector artwork is preferred. Indicate thread colors with Pantone-to-thread conversion; note that thread colors are approximations, and the nearest available thread is used. Very fine text below about 4 mm cap height does not stitch cleanly — the proof will flag it. Specify size (with or without border) and backing type.
